5-Day Nutritive Cleanse - Day 2!

It is possible that today the excitement and adventure of cleansing have...well, faded a little. You might be thinking one morning without your coffee was enough; that if your body is so smart it should’ve taken care of everything yesterday; or that with the mood you’re in it would actually be more selfless to make an “exception” so you’ll be more functional for your family.

If any of this pops in your head today: this is your liver speaking to you. You are detoxifying from the organ of frustration and moodiness. The organ that gets congested and overloaded with hormones it cannot flush quickly enough. Let it speak. But I want to share a little tip for getting the most from this cleansing process. Taken from Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils, I encourage anyone who is experiencing frustration today to grab some lemon oil, to sniff it, and focus on the word… Accomplishment.

Consider some of the limitations you may feel because of your health (including emotional health!) and speak truth over yourself. Then just think about what you are accomplishing this week! Know as I mentioned yesterday that there is hope, and that you can move beyond that limitation. While this may not imply perfect health tomorrow morning, it will cause your perspective to change. You will see things in a new way, and before you know it, your opportunities will be boundless.

Here are some truths I personally like to train my mind and heart to know. These are obviously based on my beliefs and yours will reflect yours, but I wanted you to have some examples!

  • I trust in the Lord with all my heart, and do not depend on my own understanding
  • I seek Him in all that I do & He shows me what path to take!
  • I forgive all who frustrate or wrong me and let God fill me with love for them.
  • The Lord delights in me, and I choose to forgive myself as He has forgiven me, to acknowledge the mercy poured over my life.
  • May the Lord fill me completely with joy & peace because I trust in Him. Then I will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to work on clearing anger specifically, try inhaling Purification and learning these truths in place of the old feelings. Open yourself to feeling joy and laughter! Laughter is the opposite of anger, making it a perfect release for troublesome feelings of that kind.

And, oh by the way -- the "exceptions" aren't worth it. They'll only make you feel crummy now that your body is actually in the midst of cleansing.

Something that deserves attention at this point of the cleanse is your colon activity. If the Digest & Cleanse, DiGize or Detoxzyme has not stimulated bowel movements to this point, I would highly recommend adding some Peppermint Oil or DiGize Oil topically over your intestinal area for a colon massage. 1. Lie down on a flat surface, preferably on a bed or the floor. 2. Bend your knees. 3. Apply a few drops of Peppermint or DiGize to your abdomen. (If the oils are too strong for you, dilute with a fatty carrier oil like Young Living’s V6 or coconut oil.) 4. With a closed fist or the tips of your fingers, begin massaging on the right side of the abdomen and work in a clockwise direction up, across and down the left side in small circles. Follow the path of the large intestine. Take your time. There is no reason to rush through the massage. 5. Massage at least 1-2 minutes before moving to the next area. Pressure can be applied during the massage. How much pressure depends on the tolerance level of each individual. Usually you will find an area that is exceptionally tender downright painful. This is the area where you want to concentrate your massage. And it really is not the time to be a namby-pamby. Get in there and massage with conviction, because more than likely, your headache or discomfort is originating from that very spot.

Sometimes if our colon is really log-jammed, our body will not be able to eliminate the toxins we're shedding the way it should and we will have uncomfortable symptoms as our body has to compromise to find a way to get them out!

Another thought based on some feedback I've been hearing about that is that it's best not to rapidly drink your Balance Complete, or "chug" it so to speak. I understand that can seem easier, but drinking it at a normal pace that lets your body process could help some of you if you have had discomfort, especially with your stomach/nausea etc.

Drink, drink, drink water! This is how we flush things out and you will cause yourself much digestive and detox distress without it!
